This year's theme for our Annual retrtreat is SMT Surfin' Safari!

SMT's annual El Capitan Family Retreat is scheduled for Friday, May 11, 2012 to Sunday, May 13, 2012. This is a very special weekend of fun, family, nature, games, and socializing in a beautiful setting just North of Santa Barbara. SMT has the entire campground, and it is an unique opportunity to get away with your family and friends for the weekend.

If you haven't been there before, or want more information, please go to their website www.elcapitancanyon.com. Specifics about the menu, activities, entertainment, and date to call in to make your reservation will be added to the website and discussed in further detail at Mother's Club Meeting.

The first day to reserve a cabin is TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2012 AT 9:00 A.M.  The telephone number to call is 866-352-2729.  A one night advance deposit will be charged at the time of your individual reservation.  The last day to cancel is MARCH 11, 2012.  Cancellations after March 11th will be charged for one night.  Everyone MUST call in to reserve their own cabin.  You cannot reserve a cabin for someone else.  If you call earlier than our designated date, your reservation will be cancelled and you will need to call back to make your reservation.  Also, tents numbered 164 to 183 are $100 per night.  We have to pay for these regardless if they are rented, so consider renting one for your older children. 

Those families who have already sent in their deposit are listed in the link on the right of this page.  If you haven't already sent in your money, it is $50 per adult and $30 per child, plus an additional $50 late fee.

Cabin Descriptions

• Safari Cabin (1@$795):      2 bedroom suite including 1 king bedroom and sleeping loft w/ 1 full size bed, 2 fireplaces, 1 full bath w/ spacious indoor and outdoor showers, full kitchen including range, full-size refrigerator and outdoor stainless steel grill, and ocean and mountain views.
  
  Canyon Loft (9@$350):      Our newest, most spacious, desirable cedar cabins are private and located in the Upper Meadow.  Living room w/ gas fireplace, king bed in a separate bedroom and a sleeping loft.  Ideal for large families.

  Canyon Suite (13@$325):      This cedar cabin suite is one of the most popular.  A king bedroom w/ its own entrance to the outdoors.  The living room has a sofa bed that converts to a queen bed.
• 
  Creekside King (15@$295):       Furnished w/ a king bed and fold-out sofa chair suitable for a child.  Appointed w/ a gas fireplace and a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom.
• 
  Creekside Queen (29@$255):       Furnished w/ a queen bed and a sleeping loft that comfortably sleeps children.
• 
  Creekside Double (15@$295):      Furnished w/ 2 double beds, ideal for couples w/ young children.  Appointed w/ a gas fireplace and a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom.     
  
  Canyon Queen (4@$225):      Furnished w/ a queen bed and a sleeping loft that comfortably sleeps children.

  Canyon Bunk (20@$225):      The Canyon Bunk is the ultimate “sleep-over”; 2 sets of bunk beds that sleep 4 and a sleeping loft that can accommodate 2 children.  If necessary, we can provide sheets and blankets for the twin mattresses in the loft or you can bring your own sleeping bags.

  Safari Tents (26@$100):      Each canvas tent is 12’x14’ and is built on a permanent raised wooden deck.  Guests select from either a queen or two double beds.  All tents have screened windows and zip-down flaps, are supplied w/ bed linens and towels, bedside tables, chairs, small desk, storage trunk and coat hooks.  A small heater and electric lamps for lighting are also provided.  Modern, private, clean bathroom and cedar shower facilities exclusively for tent campers are located nearby.
